Customers who fall outside the age limitations will not be able to rent a car unless there is a young or senior driver fee specified in this section. Please note that, if applicable, this fee will be included in the rental price and will be payable on arrival at the rental desk in the local currency.

Travel Restrictions

Hertz vehicles cannot be driven into and/or dropped off in any African, Asian or Middle-East countries, nor in Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Greece, Ireland, Kyrgyzstan, Kosovo, Moldova, Russia, Turkey,Ukraine or any island.

Hertz vehicles may be driven into and/or dropped off in Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy (excluding Sicily), Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovakia,Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

Hertz vehicles may be driven but not dropped off in Andorra, Bosnia - Herzegovina*, Bulgaria*, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia*, Montenegro*, Portugal, Serbia* and the United Kingdom.

*Only the following vehicle groups may be driven, but not dropped off in Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina: A, A1, B, B1, C, C1, D, D1, F, F1, G, G1, M

Border crossing fee is €44.45 per rental

Should these restrictions be ignored, all insurance (Third Party Liability, CDW, SCDW, TP, PAI), if accepted, shall be deemed null and void. The driver will be held fully responsible in case of damage to, or loss of the vehicle and will bear all consequences, including the cost of repatriation of the damaged vehicle

Electric cars are not allowed to leave the countrty limits of Hungary.
