Mandatory Documents and Important Information

The following documents are required to collect the vehicle:

• Printed Rental Voucher

•Passport or Identification card

•A valid credit card in the name of the main driver

•A valid driving licence. If you're renting abroad (outside your country of residence, or outside where your license was issued), an international driver's license is usually required regardless of the alphabet.

Driving License: Drivers must be 25 years and have held a valid driving license for a minimum of 12 months.

Young Driver Fees: Young drivers surcharge is included in the rental price. It is paid in the local currency at the rental desk. If you are between 21 and 24 years old you must pay a young driver surcharge of $28 per day.

Fuel policy

Your vehicle will be supplied with a full tank of fuel. To avoid incurring fuel charges you will need to return it full. You may be required to leave a fuel deposit reserved on your credit card that will be released when you return the car full. Missing fuel will be charged on your return. The price per litre charged by the rental agent may be significantly higher than the price at the local service station.

Fuel charges are payable at the rental desk unless otherwise stated in the Included in the Price section.

Payment Details

The main driver of the car rental contract must be the cardholder of one of the following valid credit cards: American Express, MasterCard, Visa creditcard. Avis does not accept payment by Cash: Pre-paid credit cards, Laser, Maestro, Any Visa Debit, or Switch cards.

A minimum security deposit of $200 will be required at the time of the rental.

In the event that you fail to present a valid credit card or lack of sufficient funds available on the credit card for excess and the security deposit stated on this voucher, car rental agent may refuse to release the vehicle. In these instances, no funds paid will be reimbursed.

Extras and Additional Charges

ADDITIONAL DRIVERS: The additional authorised driver fee is from $13 per day with a maximum of $65 per driver. The fee in New York is $3 per day and in Nevada $11 per day with a maximum charge of $55 per driver.

BABY SEATS/BOOSTER SEATS/CHILD SEATS: The cost of a baby/booster/child seat is $13.99 per day

GPS: The cost of GPS is $16.99 per day

E-TOLLS: This costs 3.95 per day and up to a, maximum of $16.95 per month.

Cross Border Information

Note travel restrictions are applicable. Penalities will occur if prior consent is not issued by the supplier before travel or if travel is not permitted. Should you wish to obtain more information, please contact your supplier directly.

The rental vehicle may only be used in the state of pick-up and the surrounding geographical area (Region) as specified below:

-Vehicles rented in Nevada cannot travel to New York, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.

-Vehicles rented in Pennsylvania can only be driven within the following states: Connecticut, District of Columbia, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Vermont, Wisconsin and West Virginia. Travel into Canada not permitted.

-Vehicles rented in Texas can only be driven within the state of Texas.

-Vehicles rented in Utah cannot travel to New York, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.

-Vehicles rented in Washington can only be driven within the states of Washington and Oregon and in the province of British Columbia. Travel to Canada is not permitted.

Avis vehicles are not allowed into Mexico.

If travelling to Miami port: The Avis shuttle will meet passengers at the pier. If not, call the location for pick-up service. The Avis office is located in downtown Miami, vehicles will need to be returned to (M6I) the downtown office. The Avis shuttle will take passengers back to the pier.

Other information

•Traffic fines, sanctions and judicial costs related to traffic violations or law and tolls are not included in the rental cost.

•The vehicles displayed and models listed are the most common vehicles used by our car rental partners. We cannot guarantee the make/model or traction of the rental vehicle will be the same as the vehicle displayed on our website.

•Voucher: A printed version of your rental voucher must be produced upon arrival at the rental desk. Failure to present the voucher means the car rental agent may charge you at the local rates. Please note: We are not responsible for overcharges on rentals where the voucher was not presented to the local agent on collection of the vehicle. If you do not present the required documents, the documentation is not valid or you do not have enough funds on your credit card, the car rental agent may refuse to release the vehicle and no funds will be reimbursed.

•No refunds will be given if you fail to collect the vehicle at your specified time or if you fail to meet the driving license, passport, credit card or other documentation requirements outlined in this voucher. Neither do CarTrawler provide refunds for vehicles returned early
